Pitstop nr 1

After some start up problems we're on our way. The 1st team didn't even leave Rotterdam when trouble hit. Charlie's Angels lost a cap of the radiator and lost all cooling fluid. Not a pretty sight. :( Fixed and on the move again. Woohoo! Quickly switched the fuel filter on the Chef'Special bus and on our way to Druten for refuelling. Only team TOF is still there. So let's get moving!

Filtering video
It may not look like much, but this oil filtering rig managed to filter about 600 liters of oil in an afternoon. And we used only 2 filterbags!! By the end of the batch of oil the filters did get clogged a bit, but it shows how clean the Bram Ladage oil is.
All of the participants will get the smaller version of this filterbag to use along the way.

Oil filtering in progress
Today is huge-oil-filter-day
Not yet a public holiday, but it soon will be!! ;)
Not really, but today we'll hopefully filter a batch of about 600 liters of used cooking oil of Bram Ladage. All teams will get about 50 liters at the start to get everyone on their way.
It's a greasy job, but we have to get through it. If time permits, I'll post some pictures of our oil filtering rig.

Wonders of Waste - countdown
The blogging season is open. :)
Almost there, another few days and the first Wonders of Waste tour is on its way!
Friday I picked up a batch of jerrycans from the Rijnlandse Vatenhandel. All teams will get two cans with Bram Ladage oil to get started and on their way.
Still lot's to do and exciting times ahead.
I'll try to keep everyone posted on the progress.
