And before you know it Wonders of Waste 2010 has come and gone...

So it is August 2010 and the Wonders of Waste 2010 is a done deal. This year the team members had it somewhat rougher than last year. Where 2009 was all about sun and high temperatures, 2010 had some weather challenges waiting for them. Rain, wind and cold temperatures meant that filtering oil became a lot trickier due to the thickness of it. So when the oil available came straight out of the frying pan it was an added bonus for a lucky few.

It turned out that the Colosseum was not the only wonderful place in Europe to be visited. One team in particular could have decided to give up and turn back after losing so much time with car problems, exhaust between their legs so to speak. Instead they created their own small adventure and rerouted to another worthy finishing point within their grasp: the Eiffel Tower in Paris.

Another interesting part of this year's adventure was the coverage. There was a magazine reporter, a television reporter and one team even had Livestream TV from their car. Sponsors, friends and family could follow live what was happening during the trip to Rome and interact via Twitter or the webpage.

All in all it was a really adventurous rally with worthy participants. Hope to see you back in 2011!
